東京大学発のスリープテック／ニューロテックスタートアップの株式会社ACCELStars（本社：福岡県久留米市、代表取締役：宮原禎、以下「ACCELStars」）は、augment AI株式会社（本社：東京都、代表取締役：對馬哲平、以下「augment AI」）と資本業務提携を締結し、augment AIが開発するスマートウォッチ「wena X（ウェナ クロス）」向けのAI睡眠分析機能の共同開発に取り組むことをお知らせいたします。

■ 提携の背景と目的

ACCELStarsは「睡眠を解明し、新たな医療を創造する」というビジョンのもと、医科学研究に基づいた高精度な睡眠計測・解析技術の研究開発を推進してまいりました。医療・研究領域で培ってきた睡眠脳波解析AI、アクチグラフ解析、デジタルバイオマーカー技術を基盤に、産業保健・ヘルスケア分野での事業を展開しております。

一方、augment AIは、“腕時計に取り付けられるスマートウォッチ”というコンセプトで開発を続けてきたwenaシリーズの最新モデル「wena X」を2026年3月に発表しました。wena Xは、世界最小※・曲面デザインにより負担なく身につけられる点を特徴とし、睡眠と運動を最重要領域として位置づけています。

このたびの資本業務提携により、ACCELStarsが持つ医科学研究に基づく睡眠解析の知見と、augment AIのウェアラブルデバイス技術を融合し、wena X向けのAI睡眠分析機能を共同開発いたします。睡眠を「記録する」だけでなく、「理解し、最適化する」体験の実現を目指します。

本提携を通じて、以下の機能をwena X向けに共同開発いたします。

・ 医科学研究に基づく睡眠解析を活用した、4段階の睡眠ステージをはじめとする睡眠指標の高精度な可視化

・ 仮眠検出、スマートアラーム、睡眠スコア、睡眠分析など、日常の行動に落とし込める睡眠支援機能

・ ユーザーの睡眠データに基づくパーソナライズされたフィードバックの提供

ACCELStars Enters Capital and Business Alliance with augment AI to Co-Develop AI Sleep Analysis Features

■ Background and Purpose of the Alliance

Guided by its vision — “To unravel sleep and create new forms of medicine” — ACCELStars has been advancing the research and development of high-precision sleep measurement and analysis technologies grounded in medical science. Building on proprietary sleep EEG analysis AI, actigraphy analysis, and digital biomarker technologies cultivated in the medical and research domains, the company has expanded its business into the occupational health and healthcare sectors.

Meanwhile, augment AI inherited the trademarks and patents of the wena series from Sony Group Corporation and announced “wena X” in March 2026 — the latest model of the smartwatch designed to be attached to conventional wristwatches. Featuring a 2-way structure that allows users to switch between a wristwatch style and a smart band style, wena X positions sleep and exercise as its most important health domains.

Through this capital and business alliance, ACCELStars’ expertise in medical science-based sleep analysis will be combined with augment AI’s wearable device technology to co-develop AI sleep analysis features for wena X. Through this alliance, the following features will be jointly developed for wena X:

•  High-precision visualization of sleep indicators — including four-stage sleep staging — leveraging medical science-based sleep analysis

•  Practical sleep support features such as nap detection, smart alarms, sleep scores, and sleep analysis that can be seamlessly integrated into daily routines

•  Personalized feedback based on each user’s sleep data

wena X is a smartwatch that integrates sleep, exercise, and recovery into a unified experience, with ACCELStars’ sleep analysis technology serving as a core component.

Tadashi Miyahara — President & CEO
